Had a wonderful Christmas. I really do wish the spirit of christmas was felt every day. The only thing that I do not like is the rushing and getting impatient that takes place. But I know that also I was being taught to slow down and take time for what really matters, like you. Love you Philip.

Been really busy making Christmas gifts this month. I feel that homemade gifts are much better because you take the time out to make them, and we all know time is precious. Love you my son.

I am so proud of my son. He went to the republican meeting in Williamsburg, Va. this weekend and accepted on behalf of the city of Colonial Heights an award for the city with the most republican votes in recent election. Way to go Philip !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So proud of you my son, it was a straight republican win on November 3, 2009 because of people like you. Life is not always fair but it is because of people like you that make it more enjoyable and just a better world.

Well I haven't written in a while. Been really busy lately. Philip is doing great. He has met Eric Cantor, and went to a gala event featuring Mike Huckabee. He is doing great and so am I. My testimony has grown as I continue to do the things that we have been counseled to do. Life is much easier and happier. Been working on food storage and other things that take an effort but are so much worth it. Gotta go have a tension headache and it makes me really sleepy.

My dearest son things are not going well right now. Your Uncle Mark is not doing well. But we must remember to place every thing in our heavenly fathers hands. He will not forsake us.

Took the day off, but all I did was clean clean clean. Philip is pretty excited about the next unit study on mayan civilization. Me too!!!!!

I feel we are getting close when we are homeschooling. Even I am learning at the same time. We had fun at the all you can eat crabs meeting we went to tonight. It was fun but messy and stinky.

I really feel blessed to have my son in my life. He is a wonderful young man who tries very hard to live the gospel. He is an awesome kid. Yep, he's the best.

Boy, I really haven't written in a few days. I just want to let the world know how blessed I am and we all are. We have a heavenly father who really listens to us when we talk to him. We just need to remember to talk to him. He really loves us and will guide us and give us answers. We really just need to stop and listen to that still small voice. I know and I got an answer.

Also, so proud of Philip. He bore his testimony on Sunday and it was beautiful. He has such a sweet spirit about him. Love you boo bear!

We did pretty well today with homeschooling. One thing that I learned is how very special my son is. I love you boo bear. I am pretty proud of you.

Grouchy day for me and it's Sunday. Oh well, sorry boo.
No really it is something how Satan tries to keep you from doing what is right.
He tries to make you feel down when you should be feeling up. He tries to make you lazy when you know you should be busy doing something for heavenly father.

Went to the spaghetti dinner last night. It was a lot of fun. Philip seemed to enjoy it too.

Philip went to a a political dinner tonight with Buddy. Then they went to a council meeting. Those two are always on the go. Where do they get all that energy and can they give me some?

Well Philip had his first day back to homeschooling today. Yes, I know I am a mean mom. It went well but was a bit frustrating. We studied biology today, and yes it was about birds. The lesson even went over the history of using birds as messengers. It was all in all a good first day. The lesson I learned is that a fourteen year old can learn but he can also tell you how he wants to
learn.

My Precious Son the Future Politician

This is a blog keeping track of Philips soon to be political career (we hope and pray). Homeschooling him and just being the best mom I possibly can for him. Sharing our faith and trying to live a righteous life and help him to live a righteous life. The best calling I have in life is being his mom and I just want to share that with family and friends.
